Aubrey Peeples

Aubrey Peeples is an American performer and actress. She was best known for playing Layla Grant on the television drama Nashville (2012), and Claudia Shepard (Sharknado 2013). She also was the lead character in the film Jem and the Holograms, (2015). Aubrey Peeples was raised in Lake Mary, Florida by the mother and father Wendy Ashley and Wendy Ashley. The younger sister of her is Ally. Aubrey spent ten seasons performing with Orlando Repertory Theatre. She was a graduate of Lake Mary Preparatory School, in which she was the valedictory of the 2012 class. Harvard University initially accepted her application, but later agreed to allow her in for another entry since she was cast in 'Nashville'. Peeples guest-starred in Drop Dead Diva (2009) Burn Notice (2007) Austin & Ally (2011) Grey's Anatomy (2005) and also had regular roles in Necessary Roughness (1991). She appeared in the television film Ace Ventura Jr. Pet Detective (2009) as well as The Good Mother. She played a prominent role in the Nashville series, where she played Layla Grant. Peeples spoke about her bipolar disorder during an interview with NKD Magazine. Indiewire listed Peeples among the most gifted actors under the age of 20 in September 2014
